Which plan should I choose?
- For a family or small business site where you need up to 25 e-mail addresses, space for a web site of moderate size and traffic, and minimal other services, choose the "Bronze" plan.
- When you need more e-mail addresses, expect more web site traffic, or need to host multiple domains under the same account, choose the "Gold" plan.
- For sites that use scripting and other server features and need database support, choose the "Silver" plan.
- You can upgrade from one plan to another at any time.
- If you have special needs, contact sales@eluminal.com.

I'm new to web sites, but I want one! How easy is it to create my site?
- You have a lot of options, but you'll have fun! One of the easiest ways to create a web site is to use the Site Studio tool included with your account. The Eluminal site was built entirely with Site Studio.
- For other options, consider Microsoft FrontPage, Adobe GoLive, Netobjects Fusion, and many other commercial tools for web site design and maintenance.
- Site Studio edits your site directly using web-based control panels. Most of the other tools require installation of software on your computer. After you use the tool to edit your web pages, they will probably use FTP (file transfer protocol) to transfer the files that make up the web site to your Eluminal web site. Many programs include the transfer functions, and some operating systems (such as later versions of Microsoft Windows) include FTP, but you may prefer a separate FTP program such as WS-FTP.

How do I pay for my web site and e-mail hosting services?
Eluminal offers two options for payment.
- You can send us a check and we will credit your account.
- You can use PayPal. PayPal is an internet payment service well known to eBay users (and now actually owned by eBay). You provide them with a small amount of information to become a registered member. You may then send and receive money to anyone through several different methods. If you wish to pay Eluminal by credit card, PayPal will accept and validate your charge, then transfer the payment to us. You can also set up a connection to your bank account.

I want 'scotty@ncc1701.com' as my e-mail address. What do I have to do?
- First, you have to register the domain name you want to use for your web site and e-mail. The domain name is the "yourdomain.com" part of the e-mail address after the "@" sign. Sorry, ncc1701.com is already taken.
- If you don't have a domain, you can register for one as you set up your Eluminal.com account. Domain registration is $20 per year in addition to your other hosting charges if you register your domain name through Eluminal. Other domain registrars have different charges. You are not required to register your domain with Eluminal in order to host your site with Eluminal.
- If you have an existing domain, you will be rehosting it with Eluminal.com, and this process begins during registration. You will receive instructions by e-mail that will explain how to inform your domain registrar that you have changed hosting services and have new 'domain name server' addresses.
- When your account is set up, you can create any e-mail address name you want and attach it to your domain name.

Can I use my web site for my business?
- Sure!
- (Unless your business is distributing pornography or any other activity that is in violation of the service agreement you accept when you sign up for the account. If you violate the terms of the agreement, we will cancel your account.)

I have products and services to sell. How to I collect credit card payments?
You can subscribe to a credit card merchant account service, and enable the shopping cart functions that are available on some of our services. If you don't expect much volume, the fees for merchant processing services may be too much for you. In that case, consider PayPal.
